Family Home Evening

Last night for family home evening we planted our garden. The weather has been so strange this year that we couldn't plant earlier because we still were freezing at night until last week.
Last year we planted one box in our backyard, just to try it out for the first time. This year we tripled it to three boxes.
The boys love planting the seeds. We planted broccoli, cantalope, basil, cucumbers and two types of tomatoes.
For dessert we had homemade snow cones on the back porch.

It was a great evening together as a family. Hopefully our garden will grow quickly and we will have a great harvest.

Your garden looks great. I hope that you have more success than I have had here. I long to be someplace where summers are pleasant and enjoyable.

Isn't putting gardens in so much fun! And the jet skis look like a lot of fun, hopefully it works out for Chris to get them!

I wish we had time to stop by, because we go right through Cortez, but we are leaving late on Thursday and driving to Alberqurque to spend the night, so we have to get there before midnight. But maybe we will be able to see you before you leave Provo on the Sunday we come back (the 22nd).
