Trip to Texas: Carlsbad Caverns

On our way home from Texas, we went to Carlsbad Caverns National Park. I hadn't been there since I was a kid, so it was fun for the whole family.

We hiked down into the main cave, which is about a mile downhill. Then you take the elevator back up to the top.

It was a great last activity before we came home. We were glad to be home after being gone over a week, but we had a great trip.

Trip to Texas: The Alamo

We spent 2 nights in San Antonio on this trip. We stayed near the riverwalk and spent some time walking around downtown.

The riverwalk is such a fun place. We ate at the Hard Rock Cafe for lunch before we went to the Alamo.
The boys really enjoyed the Alamo. Since we are in Colorado now, they haven't really learned about it at school. Now they know more about the Alamo and what happened there.

At the Alamo, they have these wonderful gardens that have lots of Texas plants.

It was a fun day in San Antonio, TX.

Trip to Texas: Take Me Out to the Ballgame

On Wednesday, we spent the day shopping and stayed at a hotel in Arlington, Tx.

We rode the shuttle from our hotel to the Ballpark for the Rangers games vs. the White Sox.

I had to take a picture of Cowboys stadium across the street.

It was a beautiful night for a game. The boys had lots of fun and even got to see some fireworks with each homerun.

Kyle got a HUGE hotdog.

It is always fun to go to a baseball game in the spring. The weather was nice and we won!
What a great game!

Trip to Texas: Visiting Mimi and Dallas Park

After the family reunion, we went to mom's house to see her for the night.

We decided we would try to get some bluebonnet pictures. We found this little spot on the side of the road and it worked great.

Usually we aren't in Texas during the right time of the year for bluebonnets, so I am so glad I got these pictures this year.

The boys enjoyed playing with Mimi's cats and dogs. They just love animals now.

While in Dallas, we went to Klyde Warren Park, which is a new park in downtown Dallas.
Actually the park is right above the freeway.

The kids found a fun jungle jim to play on.

And a fooseball table to play on too.

We were having a great trip.
