A Visit to the Pumpkin Patch

My favorite fall activity is going to the pumpkin patch down the road from our house. We have gone there every year since we moved to Colorado.

This year we took Cory and his family with us too.

Here are the cousins together:

I just think it is so beautiful here. Now that we built a house down the street, we have basically the same view (minus the pumpkins). We will carve the pumpkins right before Halloween.

Kaleb's Birthday Photo Shoot

I finally got around to taking Kaleb's birthday pictures last week. We went to the same place as last year, because I love the colors of the trees and the river.

This last picture was his idea. I think it turned out well. He is a great model.

Funeral and Cadillac Ranch

At the beginning of the month, I took a quick trip to Texas for my granddaddy's funeral. He has been in poor health for awhile, so I was glad his suffering was over. The service was graveside, but it was still beautiful. The casket and roses were beautiful too.

After the ceremony, the family got together to eat and visit. I was able to talk the family into a few pictures. Most of these people I haven't seen in several years. My cousins from Alabama I haven't seen in over 25 years.

Some of the pictures came out fuzzier than I would like, but atleast I have them.

It was so nice to see everyone. I had a great but quick visit and then it was time to go back home.

On the way home, I decided to stop by Cadillac Ranch, just outside of Amarillo.

I couldn't believe people were still out there adding more spray paint!

What a mess!

I am thankful that I was able to go to Texas and Granddaddy's funeral, even if it was so short. I hope to keep in touch with the family I don't see very often through facebook. Technology is awesome!
