Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Belated Valentine's Day! We celebrated by getting a babysitter for the morning and going to the Monticello Temple. Then we met several couples from our ward for lunch in Monticello.

I got Kyle speakers for his MP3 player and he got me a book and coupon for a massage at a local spa.
I got this rose at the lunch too.

We got the boys candy, of course.

They all got lots of candy from school too. Here is Cole with his Valentine stash.

We had a great holiday!

Here are two videos of the polar bears at the albuquerque zoo. Unfortuately, in order to see through the fence, I turned the camera. Now I don't know how to turn it back, so the videos are sideways. Sorry about that.

What fun animals!

Trip to Albuquerque

This weekend we took a last minute overnight trip to Albuquerque for Friday night and Saturday.

It was Cole's birthday so we went to Chuck E Cheese's for dinner and stayed at a hotel overnight.

The boys played lots of games, got lots of tickets and ate lots of greasy pizza. They were worn out for the night.

On Saturday we spent the whole day at the zoo/aquarium complex. Some of these pictures are not in order, but you get the idea. It is hard to see through the fence, but this monkey had a two week old baby on its belly.

Beautiful, majestic lion.

I caught this condor in flight. It was huge and amazing. Cuddly Koala asleep in the tree.
At the aquarium Cole watched the sting rays.
Jelly fish tank.

The kids loved this huge shark tank at the aquarium. There were tons of sharks and other fish.

There were also 2 divers cleaning on the inside of the tank.

I thought the polar bears were the best part. I have a video I hope I can get to upload so you can see how funny they were.

Here are my boys looking at the animals.

Landon on Kyle's shoulders looking at the sea lions as they were being fed.

Here are the trainers feeding the seals and sea lions. They were lovin it.

The giraffes would stick their necks out for you to feed them, but we didn't have any food.

Here is my crazy animal Kaleb eating his candy.

Kaleb and Landon climbing on the statue of a kimono dragon. They boys loved the reptile/snake exhibit, but I couldn't get pictures in there.

There were about 5 or so peacocks that roamed around the zoo. What pretty birds!

Here is the train we took in between the zoo and aquarium. I was actually impressed with both places and the boys had a blast.

We were all pretty tired by the time we got home last night (about 10 pm) but we definately enjoyed the trip. It was nice to get away because we hadn't been on a family trip since last summer.

Cole's 6th Birthday

Happy 6th Birthday, Cole! Today we celebrated Cole's birthday with cake, ice cream and presents. He also had cupcakes at his school.

I can't believe he is 6 already!
Blowing out the candles.

Yummy chocolate cake with chocolate icing and vanilla ice cream.

He got moon sand, books, a hot wheels track and money to buy a new wii game.

He was really excited about the race track.

So was dad.

It was a great night for all.

Super Bowl Sunday!

Super Bowl Sunday! We hadn't planned on watching the game because we don't have the dish anymore and Kyle had to work until 6 (the game started at 4 here). But some friends of ours invited us over to watch, so the kids and I went at 4 pm and Kyle met us after work.

Here are some of us watching the game. We ate and talked through most of the first half. The game didn't get good anyway until that interception and 100 yd run back at the end of the half. There were 3 families at our party: 6 adults and 8 kids.

Kaleb played Star Wars Monopoly with some of the other kids. He definately has that on his list to buy now.

Landon and Cole spent most of the time playing video games in the boys room. Game cube, I think?!

Cole loves video games. In fact, I think we are going to have to enforce a time limit on the wii because he would play every waking minute. He is already pro on 3 games with 2 different guys.
We had a great evening with lots of food, friends and fun. The kids were entertained all night and didn't want to leave. The game was good and the commercials were funny (some of them). I liked the one where you "laugh your butt off" and the 3D ones.
