Horny toad

The boys found a horny toad in the backyard tonight, so I thought I would take some pictures (of course).

After much arguing, we convinced them to let him go so he could be with his family.

Landon's 7th Birthday!

Friday was Landon's 7th Birthday!
We celebrated with shopping for his gift (he picked out 2 XBox games), dinner (he picked Pizza Hut) and a movie (he picked Ice Age 4 at the theater).
By the time we came home for cake, it was pretty late. Therefore, these pictures aren't the best.
Nonetheless, here they are.

I am hoping to have a birthday photo shoot with him sometime this week. It has been raining or threatening to rain every evening, so hopefully we will get a clear night soon.
Happy Birthday to my baby!

Our House

I had a request of me to take pictures of our new house. Since I wasn't very good at keeping up with the blog during construction, here are some pictures.

View from the road. You drive around to the front of the house. The back of the house faces the road.

As you can tell, we still haven't done anything with the yard yet. Hopefully we will start that soon.
We would love everyone to come visit us when you can!

Farmer's Market

I went to the Farmer's Market this morning. I love looking at all the fresh veggies and homemade items.
Unfortunately, it started to rain right when I got there, so I only got to take a few pictures.

Here is a mural painted on the wall by the farmer's market. I love it!

The sign they put up every week.

I will take more in a few weeks, when they start having more variety. The tomatoes and other colorful stuff will be ready soon. Love the farmer's market!

July 4 2012

We had a great fourth of July here in Colorado. We started out the day driving to Ridgway, CO to deliver Kyle's motorcycle that he sold. By the time we got there it was raining, so we ate lunch at the True Grit restaurant. We enjoyed the cooler weather in the mountains for the afternoon, and then headed home. We got some Cold Stone Creamery ice cream for desert and then headed to the local park for the fireworks display. They had cancelled the show, but decided the day before to have it. Since most other fireworks shows in the area had been cancelled because of the fire ban, ours was super busy.

Here are the boys at the park.

Aren't they cute? Smiles are overrated.

Cole taking a nap before the show.
Landon playing on the phone before the show.

By the time the show started, it also started to rain.

We were pretty close to the fireworks, which was great for watching but not so much for taking pictures.

I only snapped a few pictures before it started raining. I didn't want the camera to get wet, so I put it away.
Better luck next year on the pictures, but we enjoyed the fireworks all the same.
We needed the rain! Happy Independence Day!

Boys at the outdoor pool

The boys love swimming at the outdoor pool. They are all great swimmers.

It's summertime!

Cole Playing Legos

Cole loves to play legos. He got a new set of star wars legos and I took some pictures of him putting them together.

Love this boy!
