A walk in the park (Springtime in Colorado)

It is finally starting to warm up here in Colorado (except in the afternoons when the wind kicks up).

So we decided to take Trixie to the park for a walk.

I took the opportunity to take some spring pictures while we were there. Here is a picture of the crane that hangs out at the pond. I wish I had had my zoom lens to get a closer look.

I caught a bee on a tree blossom.

I love springtime. I love when things start turning green after the winter.
I hope the warm weather continues.

Chickens Growing Fast and New Coop

Our Chicks are growing fast and are ready to move to their new home.

Kyle and the boys have been working like crazy to get the chicken coop completed this week.

This is one of my favorite chickens. I think she is so pretty.

Hopefully we will be able to move the chickens tomorrow to the coop before we head out of town.

Spring Break just Landon and I

Landon stayed at home with me while the big boys went on the hike during Spring Break.

We went to the park, went to the movies (we watched the Croods), went out for ice cream and just chilled at home.

I know he missed his brothers by the third day. After all, he isn't used to being an only child.
I enjoyed our time together. It was a relaxing Spring Break.

Spring Break Hike

Somehow it slipped my mind that I still had Spring Break pictures to post.

Kyle, Cory, Kaleb, Cole and Cory's friend Jimmy went on a 3 day hike in the Grand Gulch area near Blanding Utah. Landon and I stayed home (more in the next post).

The boys got new backpacks and were so excited for the trip.

I didn't hear from them for 3 days and then I got a text from Kyle: "We made a wrong turn and are not close to the car. Could you come pick us up?". Well, they were 2 hours away from home, so I called around and finally got hold of a ranger that could pick them up and take them to their car. Needless to say, it was a learning experience for the whole group. What should have been a 23 mile hike ended up being a 40 mile hike! Oh the memories!

Egg hunting with cousins

We had an Easter egg hunt with the boys and cousins after our Easter dinner (lunch).
Aren't they cute? Their mom wanted me to take a picture of them with their Easter baskets!

Kaleb helped Grace find eggs.

Mostly Grace just liked to eat the dirt.

We don't have grass yet, so we had to hide them among the brush behind the house. Not as pretty for pictures as green grass.

After everyone got eggs, they sat on the front porch to chow down on candy.

Grace trying to share some with her puppy Bella.

We had a nice Easter and are so glad we have family here to celebrate with.
