Christmas Lights

The boys helped Kyle put up the Christmas lights on the house last week. He had to get up pretty high on the roof to do it, but I think he enjoyed it.

These are kinda dark, but you can see the lights on and the Christmas tree in the front window. It's beginning to look alot like Christmas.

Meme's Sugar Cookies

The boys iced sugar cookies with Meme Bennett today. Of course anything with lots of sugar is a hit with them. They love decorating with several different colored icings and lots of decorations. There's nothing better than sugar cookies during the holidays.

First Snow

We finally got our first snow of the season today! We should have had it at the beginning of the month, but it has been dry here. The boys went out in their snow gear and played for awhile. They enjoyed playing on the snow covered trampoline and throwing snow balls at each other. Usually this time of year they love the snow, but by February they are sick of it. It does make if feel like Christmas is coming!

Decorating the tree

We decorated the Christmas tree on Thanksgiving Day because it was the only day that Dad was off while Meme was still here. The boys love looking at all the ornaments from all of our trips and when they were babies. We still have a problem putting all the ornaments on one part of the tree, but I just even them out when they go to bed. It was past bedtime when we were done so I couldn't get a good picture of them in front of the tree. This is a great holiday tradition that we missed last year because of the move into our new house and trip to Texas. We are really looking forward to spending the holidays at home this year.

Thanksgiving Day 2007

Thanksgiving Day was a wonderful day at our house. My mom came to visit from Texas and we made a feast. The kids helped prepare the meal and we all said what we were thankful for. I am thankful for my wonderful family, friends, home and health. It was a great day!

I Love To See The Temple

We had a ward temple day today at the Monticello Utah Temple. There were activities for the kids while the adults went into the temple. Afterwards the former temple president and his wife spoke to us and we had lunch. The kids really had a good time being at the temple and I enjoyed some silence in the House of the Lord.

Cole had a Thanksgiving Program at school yesterday. Each class in the Preschool sang a song and acted out a book. After the program they had a small feast and the families visited with one another. Cole really hammed it up during the program. He has also learned to recite the whole the Pledge of Allegiance. I was very impressed!

Soccer pics are in

We finally got the soccer pictures for the fall soccer season. The boys played on the same team and learned alot this year. Their team did very well and although they don't keep score at this age, they were one of the best in the age group. Kaleb got a goal in almost every game (this is his second year to play) and Cole got several scores in his first year.

Halloween Night 2007

The kids have been counting down to Halloween since the day after Kaleb's birthday. Kaleb and Cole are really into Star Wars this year, so they had to have Jedi costumes. Kaleb dressed as Darth Vader and Cole dressed as Obi-Wan Kenobi. They were so excited to get new light sabers with their costumes. Landon wore a frog costume that we already had and he was so cute. They went trick or treating in the neighborhood and to a trunk-or-treat at the church. Kyle dressed as a cowboy which showed off his recent 25lbs weight loss. I am so proud to him! The kids dot nice and sugared up and had fun with their friends. Today we are on sugar detox and I feel sorry for their teachers at school this afternoon.
